This Privacy Policy explains how The Reply (“the App”) handles information when you use it on your Android device. We are committed to collecting only the minimum data necessary to operate the App.
1. Information We Collect
We do not create user accounts, require registration, or collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, or location.
The only data collection that occurs is through our third-party advertising partner, Google AdMob, which is used in the free (ad-supported) version of the App. AdMob may collect:
- Your device’s advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID)
- General device information (device model, OS version, screen size)
- Coarse location (country/region level, derived from IP address)
- Information about which ads you see and interact with
This data is collected and processed by Google, not by SystemHalted. We receive only aggregate, anonymous revenue reports — we never see data tied to individual users.
The premium (subscription) version removes advertising entirely. No advertising data is collected while you are using the premium version.
2. Microphone Access
The App requests microphone access to:
- Measure ambient noise levels to adjust audio playback volume in real time
- Record audio samples that you explicitly choose to create and save
Microphone audio is processed entirely on your device. It is never transmitted to our servers or any third party. We have no servers. No audio is uploaded, streamed, or stored anywhere other than your own device.
3. Audio Files and Local Storage
Audio samples you create, import, or edit within the App are stored in the App’s private internal storage on your device. These files:
- Are not accessible to other apps on your device
- Are included in your device’s standard Android backup (backed up to your Google account under your device backup settings)
- Are never uploaded to any server by this App
- Are permanently deleted when you uninstall the App or delete them manually within the App
4. Subscriptions and Purchases
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely through the Google Play Store. SystemHalted does not collect or store your payment information. All billing, receipts, and subscription management are handled by Google. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details on how Google handles payment data.

6. Ad Personalization and Your Choices
Google AdMob may serve personalized ads based on your interests using your Android Advertising ID. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:
Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID (Android 12+)
or
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization (older Android)
You may also upgrade to the premium subscription to remove all advertising from the App entirely.
7. Children’s Privacy
This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and you have concerns, please contact us at privacy@systemhalted.com.
8. Data Retention
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete on our end. Audio files stored on your device remain until you delete them or uninstall the App. AdMob’s data retention is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or our website at https://systemhalted.com.
